Focus is Key

We are at it again! As things seem to get busier and even more hectic, we up our game and fiercely work together to meet our goals. In this weeks meetings, the most pressed-upon project was finding a driver for the small robot, which will soon be ready for competition. The team has also come together to finish building and making reparations to the old robot. There are many events coming up soon that the Robotics team is preparing for, such as SCRIW, on October 11th, and BAR camp in November, which are both extremely exciting opportunities for the team. This year, the team plans to send two high-altitude balloons into space, and also seeks to compete in the solar power car race in Texas next summer, with preparations starting as soon as possible. The team will also be starting fundraisers in the upcoming week to raise money for competitions, and a huge part of what we are able to do is due to these fundraisers. While robotics is definitely a great opportunity to learn more about robots and science, it is also a great way to learn more about yourself. It pushes you to give your maximum, while also allowing you to have fun. However, it is also something to be taken seriously. Being a part of this robotics team means taking the focus that you apply to the other aspects of your life and multiplying it tenfold. It requires you to give everything that you can and only pushes you toward success. As a team, we are all in this together, and it is up to us as a whole to step forward and commit to that.
