Positive Mind, Passionate Heart
9/26/2014
As crazy and hectic as our lives may get, we always make sure to find time for the things that we are passionate about. I know for a fact that although this can be extremely complicated, it is absolutely worth it. The same can be said for our Iron Wolverines Robotics team. Between fundraisers, making eminent changes, and learning from mistakes, we have certainly been busy this week. However, we have also made substantial progress. We have already come a long way since the first week of school, which seems to have been ages ago. With competitions creeping up behind us and camps coming up soon, there is plenty going on and countless ways to get involved. This week not only brought lots of changes, but also allowed us to improve our projects and consider ideas that may assist us in future competitions and races. The greatest project that was worked on this week was the small robot. Adjustments were made that would allow the robot to function more conveniently. The pneumatic system was changed, allowing for more power and throttle, as well as more velocity, which are sure to prove handy in races. The material of the shooting artillery was adjusted as well to provide better accuracy. Lastly, the Iron Wolverines website was completed and has finally come together as a unit. This years team is loaded with potential, and we know it. We are fearless, and know that we can do anything that we set our mind to. Never underestimate the power of a positive mind and a passionate heart. This is what we are passionate about, and that's not going to change.
